Turn your pizza into a trackpad (and other things we didn’t cover)

It's Monday evening, which means it's time for GeekBytes for November 12, 2012. In today's installment, find out how you can control a computer with pizza, learn about jailbreaking iOS 6.0.1 with Sn0wbreeze, and check out the robotic fish of the future.

If the condiment-controlled game we highlighted earlier wasn't random enough for you, how about using last night's takeout pizza as a trackpad for your laptop? Joel Adams hooked up a few slices to his laptop using a Makey Makey board in order to scroll and click around the web. The downside to this new use for pizza? Greasy prints on the keyboard. Got an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running iOS 6 or 6.0.1? You can now jailbreak with with Sn0wbreeze. This latest version works with pre-A5 chip iGadgets like the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS, but it won't work on you're shiny new kit like the iPhone 5 or iPad Mini. Also, it's a tethered jailbreak, which means it reverts itself whenever you restart your phone or tablet, so it's hardly a permanent fix.

Fish tanks can take a surprising amount of maintenance. Fortunately, a robotic fish demonstrated at the 2012 Tokyo Toy Fair could be a good replacement. The fake fish are battery operated, and the fin actually moves around at random, propelling the fish around at different speeds and angles. Once on sale, these will cost about $19 each.
