House of Marley (yes, that Marley) has been making stylish audio accessories for the past few years, and donating five percent of the profits to the Marley family's 1Love charitable organization. The company is expanding its lineup in 2013 with new headphones, Bluetooth portable speakers, and even some high-end home audio gear.
And going along with the company's eco-friendly principles, many of the products are made with an "upcycled" fabric the company calls Rewind. It's made from reclaimed hemp and organic cotton, combined with the fibers of recycled water bottles, and finished using water-based dyes. Sounds righteous.
Headphones
Riddim On-Ear Headphones Starting with the new headphone models, the $160 Riddim On-Ear Headphones (available in January) are covered in canvas and have a soft leather headband and ear cushions. They offer 40mm drivers and a three-button in-line remote with mic.
Legend In-Ear Headphones The $200 Legend In-Ear Headphones(available in January) offer a balanced armature design, an FSC-certified wood accent piece, and integrated mic and remote.
Lastly, the $100 Liberate On-Ear Headphones (coming in Q3 2013) are crafted from stainless steel, fabric, and FSC- certified wood, with high performance 40mm dynamic neodymium drivers and integrated remote and mic.
Portable audio
Bag of Riddim Bluetooth Audio System The $400 Bag of Riddim Bluetooth Audio System (available in January) is an A2DP Bluetooth version of the original Bag of Riddim model. It comes in a Rewind fabric carrying bag, features an auxiliary port for connecting non-wireless audio sources, and has a built-in USB port to charge your devices.
Chanet bluetooth Audio System The $100 Chant Bluetooth Audio System (available in January) likewise brings Bluetooth to the existing Change system. It offers a built-in rechargeable battery, auxiliary input, and Rewind carrying bag. And with a built-in microphone and answer/end call feature, the Chant also works as a Bluetooth speakerphone.
Roots Rock Portable Bluetooth Audio System The $200 Roots Rock Portable Bluetooth Audio System(available in Q1 2013) has a built-in rechargeable battery, Bluetoothconnectivity, and a 3.5mm auxiliary input. The sides are made from bamboo, and it features a recycled plastic enclosure.
The $200 Get Together BluetoothAudio System(coming in Q4 2013) offers two 3.25-inch woofers and two dedicated tweeters for power, and a rechargeable battery for portability. It also provides an auxiliary input and a USB power port.
Get Up Stand Up Bluetooth Audio System The $350 Get Up Stand Up Bluetooth Audio System (coming in Q2 2013) expands on another original by adding Bluetooth. It includes 4.5-inch woofers, 1-inch tweeters, and dual auxiliary ports along with a USB power port.
Finally, tipping the monetary scales at $800, is the One Foundation Premium Digital Audio System(coming in Q3). Designed for "environmentally conscious music connoisseurs," the One Foundation supports Apple's AirPlay technology, and is made from FSC-certified Oak. It includes Toslink, S/PDIF, and RCA-type inputs; two AUX inputs; a subwoofer output; and a remote control.
